About Us

Our Purpose
Kostrikin bikes are refreshingly simple. No gimmicks, no hype, just the essentials. Our bikes are tough, durable, and built for performance and designed for everyday riding. But simple doesn’t mean easy. Crafting bikes this refined takes years of experience, relentless testing, and an unshakable passion for the ride. Our focus has always been to create the bikes that we want to ride, and to help you create the bike you’ve always wanted.

Our Process
Kostrikin Bikes, located in Clovis, California, builds and tests our designs through every ride we take. Our frames and components are engineered to provide stability, control, and confidence on any terrain. We specialize in creating high-performance, no-compromise frames and components for riders who push their limits. Our approach combines precision craftsmanship with real-world performance. With almost 40 years of experience in frame building, our mission is to produce durable, high-performing, and affordable frames and components that excel in all conditions.

Our History
Founded by Nick Kostrikin, a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with experience in engineering, fabrication, machining, tooling, and quality assurance, the company has deep roots in the cycling community. Nick began his journey in frame building in 1985 when he completed a one-year apprenticeship on the weekends with master frame builder Jeffrey Richman in Santa Rosa, California. At the same time, during high school, Nick worked as a bicycle mechanic at The Bike Peddler, where he learned and practiced the skills necessary to build his own bikes. As mountain bike racing gained popularity in Northern California, Nick and his brother Bill participated in races almost every weekend. In 1988, Bill achieved significant success by winning the Junior World Championships at Mammoth and went on to secure numerous NORBA National titles and state championships, riding for notable teams such as Salsa, Ibis, and Ritchey.
